My Creative Time~Scrapping the Little Things

Hi!  Happy Monday!!
I hope you all had a nice weekend!  Today is "Scrapping the Little Things" over at My Creative Time.  This is the day that we showcase Project Life,  Smashbook or Project Life "like" layouts!

I honestly did not think I would ever get a Smashbook!  I didn't really know what they were or what they were for.....but the more I saw what everyone was doing with them, the more I liked them so I decided to give it a try! Now I think I'm going to be hooked!  It reminds me a lot of a scrapbook I made back when I was in high school.....many moons ago!!!  :)

Here is my first attempt!!

I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out!  And it was a lot of fun.  I tend to save lots of paper mementos so this is ideal for me!!  I wanted to keep it as stress free and simple as possible, I didn't want it to turn it to another scrapbook that I get years behind on!  So I decided not to obsess with having it look "perfect"

My son  (Joseph) is in band and I always save the concert programs and never know what to do with them! Well now I do!! It was so simple, glue in a Smashbook pocket and stick it in there (instead of a drawer!)  And this was the first time Joseph had to wear a tuxedo jacket to play so I had to have a picture of that!! I also used some scraps of paper and some die cuts I had in my stash.  I usually save cuts I make and end up not using.  The only thing I did that required a little work was cut out a few musical notes with my Cameo, otherwise I just used stuff I had on hand.  Like I said I really want to keep this fun and simple!

I used My Creative Time stamps from the Just Simply Live and Cherish This Moment sets, both of these are PERFECT for "Smashing" with!! I also used a hot air balloon I had on hand that I had cut out with MCT's hot air balloon die!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
