MCT Thrifty Thursday

Hi! Today is Thrifty Thursday over at My Creative Time...the day where we challenge ourselves to use up some of our scraps we have accumulated!  

I made a Mother's Day card using all scraps except for the background paper!  :)  

I have to tell you that I totally scrap-lifted this from my DT sister Kim. The minute I saw her card I fell in love with it and knew I wanted to make one!  You can see her original card HERE!  

The window was cut out with my Cameo....I couldn't find a window cut I liked so I designed my own....it was super simple....a rectangle with 4 squares inside! :)   For the flowers I used MCT's Stitched Button Dies. The Sentiment is from the More Chocolate Greetings set and the banner that  I stamped it on is from the Chocolate Greetings stamp set.  I inked up the edges of everything with TH distress ink and added a few butterflies from a MS punch.

MCT Scrapping the Little Things

Hi and welcome to MCT's Scrapping the Little Things Monday!  The day where we all feature a Project Life, Smash Book or layout!

For my project I made an 8X8 page

The picture was taken this year at an Easter Egg Hunt, my girls had so much fun!  I got the inspiration for the background from a post I saw on face book and for the life of me I can't remember who posted it! I used the Chicken Wire Background stamp  from the My Creative Time Spring Chicken Background set and  I used some TH distress inks for the color around the picture to make the background.

MCT Thrifty Thursday

Hi! Today is Thirty Thursday over at My Creative Time.  For our projects today we were supposed to use scraps we had on hand.  I don't know about you but I have a TON of scraps, so it is nice to be challenged to put them to good use!  

I made a little 3X3 card to stick in my daughter's snack bag so she will find it while she is at school!  She LOVES making cards and I know it will put a smile on her face! :)

This is literally made from all scraps and things I made but did not use for some reason!  Like the little frog...i made him the other day to go on a card and it just didn't work out.  Usually these become property of my daughters if they happen to see them, but this one slipped by!   :)  So like I said this is a 3X3 card.  I made a matching envelope out of left over paper using My Creative Time's 3X3 Fancy Envelope Die.  So easy!! I stamped HI from  MCT's  Teeny Tag Greeting set onto one of the small tags from the Chunky Jar Accessories set that I had on hand already!

MCT 3D Wednesday

Hi there!  It is 3D Wednesday time over at My Creative Time!  

For my project today I made an altered picture frame for my Sister!  She was lucky enough to get to go to Hawaii for the first time this past month!

The frame was one of those unfinished wood ones from Michaels.  I painted the edges brown and then covered it with some patterned paper from Recollection's Surf's Up paper pad.  The trees are the Cricut seasonal cartridge Luau.

The Aloha was spelled out with My Creative Time Lowercase Fun Dies and the sentiment Paradise is from the Have Fun in the Sun stamp set!

Today I am showcasing the cute Stitched Daisy Die! I LOVE Emma's dies! I actually made this whole card without using my Cricut or Cameo!  So it went together super fast. :)
